The Intercultural Calendar of the City of Aalen has been running since 2016. It was first developed by the City of Aalen in cooperation with the Committee for Integration.
The Intercultural Calendar incorporates festive occasions and holidays observed in the Christian faith, in Islam, in Buddhism, in Hinduism and in Judaism. It purports to bring together people from the most diverse faiths so as to encourage dialogue. Thus, Christians, Jews, Muslims, Hindus and Buddhists can wish each other on festive occasions and, at the same time, can familiarise themselves with their significance.
In order to acquaint you better with the various religions’ most important festive occasions and holidays, we have prepared the relevant explanations for download.
The Intercultural Calendar is also available for collection free of charge from the Office for Integration at the beginning of the year. A maximum of one Intercultural Calendar per person can be issued.
